January 2019 Ice Hockey Camp

The 2019 vacation ice hockey camp is a great opportunity for players to work on their game prior to the start of the next junior competition. The camp will cater for beginners learning the basics of skating and ice hockey, as well as existing players wishing to build their skills and game.

On ice drills will include some core skating techniques like C-cuts, stopping, turning and cross-overs. We’ll also be getting the stick and puck involved and practising smooth passing, stick handling and shooting.

We’ll play small area games where we set up two stations and play quick games that reinforce those core skills.

After the ice time, we’ll do some off ice exercises and learn some important skills about lateral movement and coordination. Please bring shorts, t-shirt, running shoes, a hat and a water bottle.
